My name is Anna Swierczewska and I'm very happy to be teaching at HA. I am originally from Poland but have lived in the States for many years. Before moving to Maine three years ago, I lived in North Carolina and New York. I have a twin sister who looks nothing like me, and a dog with a major chip on her shoulder. I teach Spanish at HA and French at UMaine. I have a passion for all things related to foreign language acquisition. When I'm not teaching, I'm working on various side projects, which include translation work, curriculum development, and other foreign language related STUFF. My short-term goal is to complete and publish my grammar book series; my long-term goal is to obtain a PHD in Linguistics and become fluent in at least two more languages.
