Brooke Johnson attended the University of Maine, Orono for a degree in Secondary Education (English). During her time there, she was the director of the Communities that Care tutoring program which helped middle school students with reading, writing, and math. She completed her student teaching at Hampden Academy and fell in love with the school. After graduating from the University of Maine, Orono in 2014, Brooke was hired as an English teacher at Hampden Academy.
Brooke teaches many courses at HA including: English 9B- Short Story and Grammar, RtI, Interpersonal Communications, Expository Writing, History and Literature through Film, Technical English, and Issues in Society.
In Brooke’s free time, she spends a lot of time at her camp with family and friends. She enjoys kayaking, reading, and relaxing.
