HA Summer Leagues/Sports Camps/ Programs/Practices

BOYS SUMMER BASKETBALL

  We have another busy schedule planned including games and practices.  This is the time of year to improve your skills in preparation for the coming season.  All dates are not mandatory, but will only benefit you as a player moving forward.

 

There will be a fee of $60.00 dollars to all participants.  This money helps pay our entry fees to the Hermon JV League and referees for our varsity games. Please make checks payable to Hampden Boys Basketball.

 

The first part of program will include Skillz and Drillz.  These are planned practices where everyone participates.  This will include fundamentals along with some team concepts.  We will also scrimmage for approximately 30 minutes during these practices.  These will take place on following dates (June 14 3-430pm, June 16 8-930am, June 20 and 22nd 730-9am).

  

We will play in two different leagues again this summer. Our older group will play a 12 game schedule vs other local schools.  Our younger players will participate in the Hermon JV League which will include a 10-12 game schedule.   All teams will be coached by a current coach in our program. Schedules will be passed out at Skillz and Drillz on June 14th.  It is important to understand that some Juniors may be asked to play in the Hermon League and some underclassmen may be asked to play in the Varsity Games. This is determined by the coaching staff and what’s best for the player and the program.  Attendance at all of these activities is optional.
